Mac's 3rd birthday party

Mac's party was wonderful! A gaggle of Mac's pj clad friends had a great time playing, munching mini breakfast food, and making froot loop necklaces. We grown ups had a fine time ourselves between some chatting, some snacking, and plenty of mimosas. I'll post more photos soon but check out these ones taken by my neighbor Katie. And while your there poke around her blog. She's got a great eye, a lovely perspective, and adorable kids. Oh and really good recipes too. It has quickly become one of my favorite blogs around.

Size Perspective- Ronan at 6 months
At 6 months Ronan is one of those perfectly smiley, happy, chunky babies that is so delicious. He's mastered rolling over and crawling looks like it is just around the corner. Ronan has joined his brother in the great eater, terrible sleeper club (partial bummer). He definitely reciprocates Mac's love. Nothing makes Ronan laugh more than watching Mac jump on the bed or make silly faces. Hooray for brothers!

Though he wasn't especially cooperative for the perspectives photo shoot, 3 year old Mac is awesome! He's crazy for pirates and dinosaurs. Is figuring out the world and asks millions of questions to help in the effort (today's included, "but how does the smoke detector know there is smoke?" and "what's a spit valve?" ). He's started to be afraid of things (the previously mentioned smoke detector and lions eating him) which is difficult from a parenting perspective. Though he isn't into Ronan touching any of his things, Mac loves his brother. He regularly lays down with Ronan and "does smiles." Now if he'd only go to sleep!
